  • Modern Technology - We cover the entire state of Florida, and keep things convenient by using modern communications technology.

  • AHIP Certified - Industry-recognized certification training, completed yearly.

  • Ongoing Support - We maintain long term relationships with clients, so we grow with you, as your needs or circumstances change.

  • No Cost to You - The insurance companies cover our costs, so we never bill you for enrollments, advice, or support.

Who / What You Should Avoid

  • Spam Callers - Lacking expertise, these calls usually come from foreign call centers.

  • Junk Mailers - Likely to use old, outdated technology, or REQUIRE a visit to your home.

  • Government Customer Service - Unlicensed, inexperienced, and you'll never talk to them again.

  • State Volunteers - Friendly and well-intentioned, but lack professional training and licensing.

  • Direct to Company - Competent agents, but they'll NEVER show you non-company alternatives.

  • Artificial Intelligence - Very often wrong, and obviously wrong to subject matter experts.

Turning 65 Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to take Medicare Part A at 65?

If you don’t have to pay a premium for Part A (Hospital Insurance), you can choose to sign up when you turn 65 (or anytime later). There is usually no reason not to take Part A. If you've paid FICA taxes for 40 quarters (10 years), you'll get Part A with $0 premium.

Do I have to take Medicare Part B at 65?

No, you're never forced to take Part B. However, that can be a very bad decision. There are penalties for not taking Part B if you need it in the future. Even if you have to pay a premium for Part B, there are many programs in Florida that can pay for all or part of it. Please contact Jason Setree at 813-796-5866 for more information.

Do I have to take Medicare Part D at 65

No, you're never forced to take Part D. Again, that is often a bad decision for several reasons. There are penalties for not taking Part D if you need it in the future. There are also $0 plans, and we can often get the state of Florida or the federal government to pay for premiums. Please contact Jason Setree at 813-796-5866 for more information.

Should I just let Medicare start at 65?

Probably yes, but it's more complicated than that. If you're already taking Social Security, Part A and Part B may start on their own. However, if you just keep original Medicare, Part A and Part B only cover 80% of charges. To help with the rest, you'll have two other choices, You may choose a Medigap plans with Part D, or a Part C plan to help with costs, including Part D to avoid penalties.

If you have insurance through employment, you may elect to delay Part B. Or your work insurance may require that you take Part B. It will depend on your specific circumstances.

in any case, if you meet certain income and asset requirements, you can get your Part B premiums paid by the state. Please contact Jason Setree at 813-796-5866 for more information..

What are the biggest mistakes for people turning 65?

1.) People will refuse Part B before they understand that they could get the state or an insurance company to pay the premium. It leads to unnecessary life-long penalties.

2.) Not signing up for a $0 Part D plan. Same as above, picking up life-long penalties for no reason.

3.) Not understanding how Part B works with Medicaid or insurance provided through employment.

4.) Paying for COBRA when Medicare would have been better.

5.) Choosing a Medicare plan without considering several companies.

6.) Not researching doctor networks across various companies.

7.) Not researching prescription costs across various companies.

For help with these or other issues, please contact Jason Setree at 813-796-5866 for more information.

It Usually Takes 5-10 Minutes.

Seriously, the internet is full of outdated information. And don't even get me started on AI. AI is trained on that same inaccurate and outdated information.

As a professional, I can tell you that AI is flat wrong, very often.

Many of your Medicare choices will depend on the zip code (or county) you live in.

Many of your Medicare choices will be different from friends or family members who take different prescriptions or see different doctors.

If you're not getting advice specific to you, you're probably not getting good advice.
